As part of the iconic football team’s ongoing partnership with MoonPay, Brazil’s Clube de Regatas do Flamengo is revolutionizing fan engagement by launching a one-of-a-kind digital collectible and AI-generated art experience.
The initiative invites Flamengo fans from over 100 countries to immerse themselves in a fusion of football tradition and state-of-the-art technology. Once inside the experience, fans will harness AI to create personalized art, illustrating their unique bond with the club. By the end of the year, Flamengo will select three standout artworks to be displayed in the club’s offices.
Starting today, access to the experience is granted through ownership of a digital ring asset that can be purchased with a card via MoonPay’s NFT Checkout. Designed by artist Mason Rothschild with the help of Otherlife, a subsidiary of MoonPay that provides Web3 creative agency services, the ring pays homage to Flamengo's eight Serié A championships. All of the rings are being minted on the Polygon blockchain.
"Our partnership with Flamengo is paving the way for sports clubs around the world to leverage blockchain technology in powerful ways," said Ivan Soto-Wright, MoonPay's co-founder and CEO. "We're passionate about creating unique experiences that bring communities together, and this is a strong example of how we're doing that by deepening Flamengo's fan experience."
Digital rings are available for purchase until December 28th on Flamengo.xyz.
