MoonPay partners with Gaia

We will power payments for the network’s new AI agent launchpad.

We’re thrilled to announce our partnership with Gaia, a decentralized developer network that lets people create, deploy, and monetize AI agents at scale.

AI agents – autonomous programs that can execute tasks on blockchain networks – have quickly become one of the most exciting innovations in the industry, promising to revolutionize everything from trading and security to decentralized governance and smart contract automation.

In order to push the boundaries of what these agents can do, Gaia helped launch Mother: an agent launchpad for the Ethereum ecosystem that lets people summon AI agents for various utilities.*

MoonPay will power token purchases and agent monetization on the launchpad, and our newly-acquired partner brand Helio will enable on-chain transactions.

Our investing arm, MoonPay Ventures, has also made an investment in Gaia and will look to fund future projects building on the network. MoonPay Ventures will explore synergies with founders leveraging the Gaia network across multiple vectors.

“AI agents are transforming how we interact with blockchain, making it more efficient and intelligent,” said MoonPay’s co-founder and CEO, Ivan Soto-Wright. “Partnering with Gaia allows us to push the boundaries of what’s possible. This is the future of decentralized tech, and we’re excited to help build it.”

Mother DAO, the governing body of the Mother launchpad, will align incentives, manage governance, and ensure sustainable growth for the project.

“Partnering with MoonPay is another step towards building a world where everyone can thrive in the decentralized space,” said Gaia’s CEO and co-founder, Matt Wright. “By tapping into MoonPay’s expertise, like their Helio payments solution, we’re unlocking doors for developers, creators, and innovators everywhere. We want to make life with AI accessible to everyone.”

Gaia launched in early 2024. In November it completed the first-ever fully-autonomous hackathon, where a team of AI agents managed the entire event from start to finish.

The AI agent market is projected to grow to over $47B by 2030.
